 5” Stainless steel ring opening pliers. These ring-opening pliers are to open ball closure rings for easy removal and insertion.

BCRs are an essential piece of body jewellery and can be hard to open and insert by hand. 

They make it easy to open ball, bar and segment closure rings of the most popular size of gauges so you can change your jewellery without a visit to a piercer.

These are blunt-ended pliers made from medical-grade surgical steel. 

Material: 410 ASTM Stainless Steel  

Pliers Length: 5 inch

Able to handle captive rings up to 8g (3.2mm)  

Works best with ring diameters 1/4 inch (6.0mm) up to 5/8 inch (16.0mm  

Two-notched needle nose tips for secure handling.

Opening a BCR with Ring Opening Pliers:

Make sure that the ends of the pliers are clean and dry. 

Insert the ends of the pliers into the middle of the ball closure ring. 

Gently compress the handles to open the ball closure ring.

Open the ring just enough to free the captive end.

Remove the captive end and insert the ball closure ring into your piercing.

Then insert pliers again into the middle of the ball closure ring.

Gently compress again to open the ring slightly to replace the captive end.
